SouthWest Circus wants to bring the fun and craziness of learning and being involved in Circus to the Busselton community and surrounds.

Meet SouthWest Circus Director/Trainer - Miriam Cawley

Miriam has over 10 years of circus art experience and is known for her enthusiasm and encouragement to everyone she teaches.

From growing up in Busselton Dreaming of joining a circus, to following her dreams when she moved to Melbourne and completed her 3 year Bachelor of Circus Arts degree at the National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA). She then moved back to Perth where she continued to teach and perform for companies such as Kinetica Circus Arts, Circus WA, the Performance Company and more.

As well as a circus teacher and Performer, Miriam is a qualified High school Teacher specialising in Dance and Drama. She has a strong love for teaching and helping people achieve there goals. She has now moved back to Busselton and is excited to bring the opportunity to learn all things circus to the southwest community.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Circus arts

  • Working with Children’s check

  • Police clearance

  • Senior first aid certificate

  • Diploma of Education (high-school)

  • Doggers and basic rigging certificate

  • Working at heights certificate
